Happy Cinco De Mayo

Happy Cinco De Mayo everyone! Enjoy the day, celebrate, but know what you are celebrating for. Most people will tell you today is the day Mexico got it's Independence but that's not exactly right. The day Mexico's Independence Day isn't until September 16th. No Cinoe De Mayo is celebrated in honor of the Battle of Puebla on May 5th, 1862. Fought during the French intervention in Mexico the Battle of Puebla was fought near the city of Puebla and was one of the few victories of the Mexican people had over the French Army.
